Shop N Drop Saturday

If it’s Saturday, and it’s between 2 and 4 p.m., well there must be a Shop N Drop going on! Bring your stuff to 3815 Mt. Vernon Ave. If you can’t make it down, drop us a line, and we’ll send a white-gloved removal crew to your house instead. One of this week’s finds: This supersnappy travel case. Wanna buy it? Can you donate something cooler?

Shop N Drop tomorrow: Meet the Flea Car! (Maybe)

Not promising anything, but it’s entirely possible that at tomorrow’s Shop N Drop you will be able to check out the car we’ll be raffling off at this year’s Big Flea. Early reports from a test drive by the Big Flea Pit Crew are promising: “Drives like a charm,” reports Crew Chief Art Witebsky. “This is the perfect car for a commuter, student or someone who wants to spruce up a great car.  The manual transmission can take you back to a time when driving was driving and all other distractions were non existent.”

I’m not saying it’ll definitely be there at the Shop N Drop tomorrow, but if you don’t come, you won’t find out.

The particulars are the same as usual: Saturday from 2-4 p.m. in the former Fashion K City space at 3815 Mt. Vernon Ave. Bring anything. Well, almost anything. And if you don’t want to drop stuff off, you can buy stuff. We take credit cards as well as folding money. Can’t make it at all? Check out our Craigslist offerings.

We’re still looking for volunteers, too; hit this link to painlessly sign up to help out at a Shop N Drop or at the Flea itself. Again, I don’t want to promise too much, but T-shirts might be involved.

Shop N Drop tomorrow: You snooze, you lose

Don’t look for this fine piece of décor at tomorrow’s Big Flea Shop N Drop: That ship has sailed, friends. Some lucky buyer took this ring sorter/glove shaper/Lady of the Lake simulator home, and it’ll be some time before this object hits the open market again.

Don’t let another treasure slip away! Who knows what awaits you at this weekend’s Shop N Drop, held Saturday from 2-4 p.m. in our lovely new space at  3815 Mt. Vernon Ave.? Sure, we’ll gratefully take your own family heirlooms, or even the table you bought for your first apartment before you had kids. But if you see something like this and you have to bring it home, we’re not gonna stop you. Just pause you so you can quickly transfer a nominal sum toward the Mount Vernon Community School PTA (we take credit cards, too) and send you on your way.

Shop N Drop. Tomorrow. Bring it. And, of course, buy it.

Shop N Drop in our new new space this Saturday!

MV Big Flea is taking donations and selling stuff on Saturday. 2 p.m.-4 p.m., same general area but slightly different location: 3815 Mt. Vernon Ave., just next door to where we were for the last Shop N Drop. We’re now in the former Fashion K City space, and while we’re not strictly speaking in the fashion business, what could be more fashionable than helping out the Mount Vernon Community School PTA?

DIY Del Ray found great stuff at the last Shop N Drop

With every Shop N Drop, I appreciate DIY Del Ray more. They look at a wood box and decide it’d make a great planter. They root out corner desks and C-shaped items festooned with corks! There’s no Shop N Drop this weekend, which makes me kind of sad, because I’ll have to wait a while to see what these folks come up with next. Until then, enjoy this report from last weekend’s Shop N Drop.
